"A Story About Past and Present - What We Can Learn From Our Ancestors"

"A SHORT STORY "

Today, I want to share with you a story that my grandfather told me during a walk to buy milk. The conversation began when I asked him if he preferred the present or the past. He replied that people born before the 1970s would prefer the past, despite the advancements in technology and science. I was confused, but my grandfather explained that the present world only provides temporary comfort, which will disappear someday.     My grandfather further explained that in the past, people invented technical things and created historical monuments, but never at the cost of hurting living beings. They never used the resources of the world for temporary comforts. Moreover, people were not as selfish as they are now, and they did not bother about anything in life without considering its impact on other creatures.     My grandfather gave an example of how we are digging the earth for petrol, despite the knowledge that the reformation process of petrol takes more than 1000 years. We continue digging and thinking about alternative solutions like EV vehicles that will disappear after 5-10 years. We move on to the next solution until all resources disappear, and humans are left with no resources, leading to starvation.     My grandfather also talked about how the digital generation has more opportunities with loans, credit cards, etc. But behind these opportunities, there is the CIBIL score, which is challenging to come out from if you fall into debt. He further explained how we know that drinking and smoking are harmful to health, yet we continue to do it not mistakes on seller who sell, and the authority who gives permission to sell.     My grandfather's story made me realize that we need to learn from our ancestors, who respected and preserved the world's resources. We need to think about the consequences of our actions and how they impact others and future generations. We must strive for sustainable solutions that do not harm living beings or exhaust the world's resources.     In conclusion, my grandfather's story taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of respecting and preserving the world's resources for future generations. We must understand that the digital world may look attractive, but we don't know its background, and it can be challenging to come out from it. We must strive for a balance between technology and nature to ensure a sustainable future.
